Our Heroes
Lucille Phipps, Wholistic Center at Our Lady of Peace (submitted by Martha Bryce) I have been a patient of Sister Lucille’s for about two years. Suffering from several medical conditions that have ravaged my body and which keep me in pain, I rely on several highly respected doctors to manage the disease processes. Despite the fact that I have worked with neurologists, psychologists, and pain specialists, high pain levels residual from illness and damage are simply part of my reality. Every week, when I walk into the Holistic Center, Sister Lucille uses her incredible expertise to determine which alternative healing technique(s) are best to treat my condition on that day. She has been instrumental in helping me physically and spiritually in my healing process. She gives me relief, and even more important, she gives me hope. As I am certain that you know she also provides her expertise to your staff, enabling them to more easily care for the seriously ill in their charge. Sister Lucille is a resource for many of us who have nowhere else to turn. Her kindness, ability, professionalism, and empathy are the best possible reflection of your mission to provide world-class healthcare. She is my "healing hero".
