Ashleigh Couch, Gheen Open Heart Recovery at Jewish Hospital (submitted by Kelli Bratcher)
My father had emergency open heart surgery. It was the last proceedure of the night so my family only got to see him a couple minutes in recovery before we had to leave, not able to return till the following morning. Ashleigh put our minds at ease and we left feeling he was in excellent care. He hasn't stopped talking about how wonderful she was on that very long night.

Brooke Vaughn, ICU at Jewish Hospital (submitted by Fred Ray)
I am not very good at expressing my feelings of gratitude and appreciation. Recently I went into ICU where a wonderful nurse, Brooke Vaughn looked after me and she provided excellent care. She even used her own money to buy food. I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to Brooke for all that she does. Later, after an OR procedure, I was very surprised to see my associates from the Foundation, Sherri Craig, Alice Bridges and Carol Wade. These wonderful people had taken time out of thier busy days to check on and cheer me up.

JILL ENGLE, 3 SOUTH at Our Lady of Peace (submitted by DEBBIE GARRETT)
Our son was hospitialized for a long time at Children's Peace Center. I cannot begin to tell you how much of a rock Jill Engle has been for all of us. She has made a very tough time so much easier because of her caring and genuine concern. No matter how busy she is, she always has a smile. I work for Jewish Hospital and I am so glad that I am able to nominate Jill Engle with Our Healing Hero Award.

I had a MRI scan last Friday, February 29 which was completed by one of the nicest people I have met at JH. Her name is Nancy Battles and she is spectacular. She guided me into the room after a short medical interview with a demeanor t...

Lucille Phipps, Wholistic Center at Our Lady of Peace (submitted by Martha Bryce) I have been a patient of Sister Lucille’s for about two years. Suffering from several medical conditions that have ravaged my body and which keep me in pain, I rely on several highly respected doctors to manage the disease processes. Despite the fact that I have worked with neurologists, psychologists, and pain specialists, high pain levels residual from illness and damage are simply part of my reality. Every week, when I walk into the Holistic Center, Sister Lucille uses her incredible expertise to determine which alternative healing technique(s) are best to treat my c...
